EMD | What is the purpose of snow foam?

Snow foam is primarily used as a pre-wash stage to loosen and remove as much dirt and contamination as possible before you physically touch the paintwork.

🚗 What snow foam actually does

● Loosens traffic film — softens road grime, mud, dust and other surface contamination.

● Reduces scratching risk — by removing loose dirt before your wash mitt makes contact with the paint.

● Provides lubrication — the foam helps encapsulate and suspend contamination while it dwells.

● Reaches difficult areas — useful around grilles, badges, wheel arches, panel gaps and lower sections.

● Makes the contact wash safer — the cleaner the vehicle is after the pre-wash, the less contamination you’re dragging across the paint.

● Improves the overall wash process — you’re starting with a significantly cleaner surface.
